Steven Benner has a BS and MS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and a PhD in chemistry from Harvard University. He is considered a pioneer of the field of synthetic biology using organic synthesis to create an artificial genetic system. He has also been a professor at Harvard University, the ETH in Switzerland and the University of Florida.
Roberto Laos has a chemistry degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru with a focus in biochemistry and polymers, a MS in Polymer Science and Engineering from UMass Amherst and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Florida. He currently conducts research in the directed evolution of DNA polymerases at the FFAME.
Stephen Mosher has a BS in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology from Rochester Institute of Technology, a MS in Cell and systems Biology from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Tübingen. He currently works at the Johns Hopkins University.
